Our Artistic Director
Jordan Punsalang has been professionally involved in dance for over 30 years. Trained by the best dance teachers and dance companies in the Philippines and further taught by US and European dance masters, Jordan is well-versed in performing and teaching diverse dance genres. He has also choreographed and performed in countless professional productions on stage (corporate & theatre), TV, film, fashion show, pageants, and live concerts in Asia and Europe.
Since moving to Geelong in 2007, Jordan formed Parallax Company. Since starting Parallax, he has staged over 40 full-length dance concerts to date; and has collaborated with a few dance companies in Geelong to create “Trois”, a show featuring three dance companies - celebrating Geelong’s vibrant dance scene.
Some of his musical theatre choreographic credits (overseas and local) include Pippin, Don Quixote, Oliver, Aida, Romeo & Juliet, Merchant of Venice, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Joseph & The Technicolor Dreamcoat (Cue LSGH, Philippines) Riri Ken Tiri, and La Verbena De La Paloma (UP PCCA, Philippines), Boy from Oz, West Side Story, Sweet Charity, Cats, Mary Poppins (Footlight Production) The Full Monty (GSODA Inc), Altar Boyz, and Chicago (TOTD). He has been nominated several times by both Entertainment Geelong and the Music Theatre Guild of Victoria and was the recipient of the Music Theatre Guild Of Victoria Choreography Award in 2012.
He also choreographed Angie Hilton's performance at Carols By Candlelight in Geelong (2016) and Christmas In Geelong Show (2022). In 2017 he choreographed the cabaret Cyrens - The Swinging Songbook of Cy Coleman (Adelaide and Melbourne Cabaret Festival) featuring Chelsea Gibb, Amanda Harrison, Melissa Langton and Mark Jones.
Away from dance, Jordan loves spending time and traveling with his wife Fritzie who is a professional singer and the vocal director of Parallax; and their two young children, Adam and Page who both have garnered quite a few number of professional work in the industry as performing artists.
